Why Preparation Matters

​Homes hold memories. But for buyers, it’s about imagining their future. Preparing a house for sale helps create that vision — leading to quicker sales, better offers, and less stress during an already emotional time. Whether the home is being sold due to downsizing, relocation to assisted living, or the passing of a loved one, we’re here to make this process as smooth and supportive as possible.

Preparing a home for sale often involves cleaning, repairs, organizing, and sometimes light renovations. We know that coordinating all of that can feel overwhelming; especially during an emotional life transition. Think of us your transition coordinator. We can handle it all for you.

Here’s how it works:

1. We Assess the Home’s Needs
We’ll walk through the home (with you or on your behalf) and identify what updates would help it sell faster and for a better price — whether it’s deep cleaning, paint touch-ups, landscaping, or handyman repairs.

2. We Gather Multiple Bids
For each service needed (cleaning, repairs, gardening, etc.), we’ll collect three quotes from trusted, pre-screened contractors and vendors we regularly work with. You’ll review each option, and you choose which provider feels right — based on price, timeline, or preference.

3. We Manage the Work
Once you’ve selected the service provider(s), we:

  • Hire the contractors
  • Coordinate the scheduling
  • Oversee the work from start to finish
  • Ensure everything is completed to a professional standard

You won’t need to make calls, chase down contractors, or be home during work. We take care of everything on your behalf.

4. We Can Handle All Payments
To keep things simple, you can opt to make one payment to us covering our services as well as those billed by external service providers. You’ll receive a single, easy-to-read invoice that includes only the actual costs of the services rendered…no markup and no hidden fees. We do not take a cut of any service provider’s fees, nor do we earn a commission. We simply help you find trusted service providers for the job and hold them accountable to our high-quality standards. We will provide you with copies of all original invoices and will research and resolve any billing discrepancies. Our goal is to ensure everything is organized, transparent, and stress-free.  ​

5. We Prepare the House to be Shown
Anything else that is needed, we will do…cleaning, organizing, packing, staging, etc. You won’t have to lift a finger. Read blog post about the value of staging>
